TapSpeak Choice is the most accessible and flexible communication app available. Choice fills needs from simple two-button communication boards to complete speech generation page sets. You can set up a home page and easily set up links to other pages. Buttons can have symbols, images from your photo library, and text as the button image. You can set the button’s background color by part of speech using ours or your own coloring system. You can also configure buttons to navigate to any page in the system after the button is tapped.Message window support is optional to support as many different needs as possible. You can create and the app speak complete phrases and sentences in the message window plus you can combine both recorded speech and text-to-speech in the same phrase to give you the utmost in flexibility. You can vary the message window size as well.We now offer the Pixon™ symbol set, designed by Gail Van Tatenhove and licensed from Semantic Compaction Systems. It’s the premier symbol set for core vocabulary usage and we’re proud to offer them to you! Our upcoming Choice AAC language system/page set will make use of Pixons and great motor planning to make Choice, even more, the right choice for your child or student! As before, you can use any image in your photo library for a button and create buttons with text for the button image.Full scannable and configurable keyboard support is included! While some apps may have keyboards and fewer are scannable, only TapSpeak Choice has scannable and configurable keyboards. We offer as standard keyboards and iPad-like keyboard, alphabetic keyboard, and a scan-friendly keyboard.Our voice support includes 40 languages and 88 voices. English voices now include regional and emotive voices to lend a real personality and individuality to a voice. As always you can use your own voice for recording a button’s message and you can set a text-to-speech message for a button separate from the button’s title. New with version 4.0, you can vary a voice’s pitch to tailor a voice to best match the desired age for the speaker.For those whose motor skill abilities make it necessary to use a switch, TapSpeak Choice support using the iPad screen as a switch for scanning and supports AbleNet's Blue2 switch and RJ Cooper's iPad Cordless Super-Switch and iPad Switch Interface for external switches. You can use one or two switches for auto scanning and step scan and choose among a complete array of scanning options (sequential, row/column, step scan and multiple configurable settings). You can even set up separate auditory prompts with a separate message, voice, speaking rate and volume.
