Description:

Welcome on board to the first ever Flyers Logbook app. This app is designed to allow you to collect your flight information on an iPad.I remember growing up with a Junior Flyers logbook in which I would record lots of information about the flight. This app brings it into the latest century. When you open your app you will see four tabs at the lower section. Passport, Summary, Trip and Settings.First step is to put in your personal info on the Passport page. On this page you can add your personal image either directly from the iPad’s camera or from a saved photo. Crop the image to fit using the software included. Save your data but you can always edit or update your photo later. The next step is to choose your settings. You have a choice of date and distance inputs. You can switch these back and forth so choose the one you need at the time. You can also choose a background image for your app. I have included some scenes to get you started however you can select your own image from your photo album.. The Trip page is where you enter your information for each flight. •Type in all the flight details in the data boxes. Fill in the ones you want and you can always come back later to do the rest or edit.•Use the Notes section to add your own personal messages or comments.•The image frames are for anything you like - photos of you, your travelling companions or fellow passengers or crew – just check first before you take photos of aircraft or people. They can be taken on the spot or imported from your saved photos. Even take an image of the boarding pass or a note from the captain. Don’t forget to edit the photos to make them fit.•Click Save to keep your trip page. A blank trip page is then ready to go again. The Summary page is just that. The top section is all your hours and distance flown both in total and during the last year. The bottom section has a summary of each trip page.To view a trip page just tap on the appropriate line and your saved trip is displayed. Now you can edit your information by tapping on the edit symbol in the top right corner. Add new images or text but don’t forget to Save it again. To share with others, I suggest taking an image capture of the page and emailing it or printing it from your photos. Print function is also available on the various pages. Please feel free to offer us your suggestions and comments on the app as we are always looking to offer more usability and features. Have a safe and fun flight.admin@flyerslogbook.com
